Cycle I · A0 → A2 Foundations speaking basics & grammar
The true-beginner cycle. You speak from the very first hour — introducing yourself, ordering, asking directions — and grammar arrives in service of the sentence, never the reverse. Twelve lessons, from the present tense to first narratives in the past.

The cycle that turns functional French into solid French. You argue, concede, and nuance; the ear trains on the real French of Montréal while the mouth produces a standard French that travels anywhere — including in front of an examiner.

Knowing French and scoring on the TEF are two distinct skills; this cycle builds the second. Almost no new grammar — the format learned cold, the moves each section rewards, then full simulations until exam day holds no surprises.

I'm Ashfaaq Kazi — a Mauritian-Canadian instructor in Montréal, trilingual in English and French, with years spent working in both of Canada's official languages. The Academy is built on how I actually teach.
